Sarah Fluker

National QC Partnerships Director

She/Her

Sarah's journey into progressive politics and community organizing is grounded in a rich academic background and diverse hands-on experience. With M.A. degrees in Hispanic and Spanish Literature, her academic pursuits have always intersected with her commitment to social justice. Her Master's thesis, "Desire in the Time of AIDS: Organic Continuity in Abigael Bohórquez's Queer Eco-Imaginary," delved deep into the connections between grief, medical discrimination, and environmental justice, reflecting her commitment to shedding light on pressing societal issues.

Sarah's professional journey, including roles at UNAIDS Latin America, WCTV, and a South Florida immigration law firm, has fueled her dedication to human rights, multilingual advocacy, and media. Beyond her professional life, Sarah has volunteered for Organizing for America and PeaceJam. Sarah’s most recent work in the QC department began in shift and partner management.

In her downtime, Sarah studies Portuguese, tunes into NPR, and enjoys birding by the beach.
